Rant of the Week: Shit Happens – Douche Bag Phrase

Guy 1 – Hey man, I was fired at work today.
Guy 2 – Nobody’s perfect.

Guy 1 – Hey man, My dog died.
Guy 2 – Yeah, life isn’t fair.

Guy 1 – My girlfriend broke up with me today.
Guy 2 – Shit happens.

All of these have the same meaning.  Only one of these phrases is a douchey phrase, and that would be the last one.  “Shit happens” is like a slap in the face.  It’s like that guy that trips you and tells you you’re clumsy.

Shit happens.  No shit Sherlock!  I know this shit just happened.  I don’t need you to tell me that.  It’s like adding insult to injury.

Just imagine your with your significant other, having a bad day at work.  You come home spilling your guts about your shitty day, and he/she responds back with, “Shit happens.” Are you serious? I had a bad day, and you’re giving me attitude?

You know what? How bout I grab your hair, and slap you in the face back and forth.  If they respond back with “What the hell?” I’ll just say, “Hey, shit happens babe.”

Here’s what I want from you.  Just show me some compassion.  Is that too much to ask?

   Wow, we must have had the same bad day yesterday(if you did have a bad day yesterday). I wont go in to detail but it did consist of me having a bad day, telling my wife and she responded with a douche bag response.

   I agree with Fruitzie, i can get mad, but i would never lay a hand on my wife. She would leave me faster then gas in my car, lol.
