MOTUC 2015: March- Exclusive Figure “Oo-Larr?”

MOTUC 2015: March- Exclusive Figure “Oo-Larr?”

JUST A WARNING: RATED M FOR MATURE, COURSE LANGUAGE–VERY…

What the hell is this? Naked He-Man? You know if you look close enough, he appears to resemble the He-Man from the original mini comics…but the name is wrong, it was He-Man who left the jungle to protect Castle Grayskull and Eternia—not to mention the two halves of the Power Sword. Why does the package say Oo-Larr?

I’ll tell you why; the terminated Scott Neitlich was still in grade school and was playing his own game sitting on the floor with his He-Man guys. Now, I don’t blame him for the shipping …

Walking Dead Recap and Highlights (with Spoilers!)

Walking Dead Recap and Highlights (with Spoilers!)

There is a certain amount of uneasiness that the sleepy little town of Alexandria inspires in our main characters. They’ve already given in to their fantasy of a “normal life” when they were back at the prison but all their dreams were effectively blown to bits by the governor. They’re understandably gun-shy. Here are some takeaways from last night’s episode:

Rick making moves on a married woman – It’s been a while for Rick so it’s hard to blame him for giving in to his urges. There’s obvious chemistry there and although he’s breaking standard gentlemanly protocol, this is, after all …

Batman Arkham Knight Trailer: “Gotham is Mine”

Batman Arkham Knight Trailer: “Gotham is Mine”

xl Batman%20Arkham%20Knight%202 Batman Arkham Knight Trailer: Gotham is Mine

While Marvel might have the current monopoly on bankable superhero films, DC and Warner Bros. seem to be doing a lot better with their video games. But while I thoroughly enjoyed the Batman: Arkham City game, I found that the Arkham Origins game to be lacking somehow.  Just more of the same stuff with slightly better animation.

I’m hoping Arkham Knight gives us more of these other characters like Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy without having to spend too much on DLC.  If it can recapture the magic from Arkham City by offering the open city environment allowing for lots of …

MY Top 10 Toys Of 2014!

MY Top 10 Toys Of 2014!

It’s that time of year again, it’s the top ten toys, but not just anyone’s, it is MY top ten toys. The list consists of what I got this year regardless of its release date. Number 1 was a tough decision, but I think I chose wisely.

So, let’s begin!

HeMan MY Top 10 Toys Of 2014!

10. HE-MAN—the selection of He-Man seems to take number 10 every year for me, I guess there really wasn’t anything that stood out to the point of dragging one of the individual figures to the top five. However, this selection featuring Blade from the movie, Extendar and even the ‘Unnamed …

Exclusive: No Holds Barred Interview With Spawn’s Todd McFarlane

halo a Exclusive: No Holds Barred Interview With Spawns Todd McFarlane

I remember being in 7th grade when Spawn 1st came out.  I loved the dynamic style and the gritty story.  Couple of years later, Spawn creator, Todd McFarlane, came out with his own set of action figures.  I collected those and it started my toy collection.  Growing up and even to this day, I’ve always looked up to Todd.  He revolutionized the comic and toy industry with his attention to detail.  I was fortunate enough to interview Todd McFarlane as he visits Toys R Us Times Square this Saturday, February 1st for the Superbowl festivity.

NERD Society (NS): Hi Todd,

Comic Book Review: Death of Wolverine

Comic Book Review: Death of Wolverine

520223 1024x576 Comic Book Review: Death of Wolverine

The Death of Wolverine by Charles Soule and Steve McNiven is one of the most important comics to come out in the last few years, a statement which I do not make lightly. In a medium infamous for its gimmicky, poorly thought out and (mostly) poorly written Death of *insert character name here* story-lines, Death of Wolverine is the shining exception to the previous two rules.

Will it make just as much money if not more than a standard gimmick death? Sure it will, hell it probably already has. But the story itself has so much to offer for both die-hard …

Las Vegas Amazing! Comic Con Recap

The Amazing! Comic Con was held recently at the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. In its second year running, the con had an amazing turnout. Coincidentally,  the Electric Daisy Carnival was going on at the same time and there were said to be upwards of 400,000 tourists flooding Las Vegas over the weekend. From a marketing standpoint, it was a great time for a con and the turnout affirmed that.  I imagine next year will bring even more attendees as the the con’s popularity continues to grow. Check out some of the cosplay action below……

Who Should Play Joker?

Who Should Play Joker?

darkknightjoker Who Should Play Joker?

When Heath Ledger passed away, the comic book to film world lost someone who was, in my eyes at least, the most incredible version of Joker to date. Many thought that no one could ever surpass Ledger’s performance and many think that no one should even try. But with the new crop of DC films coming out, not to mention that Fox series “Gotham,” and the fact that Batman has been recast as an aging, world-weary type (didn’t Affleck play Daredevil with sort of that depressed, Charlie Brown shuffle also?), there have been rumblings that maybe it could happen, if
