Grant Gustin, better known as Sebastian from Glee, has just been cast as Barry Allen aka The Flash in the upcoming season of CW’s Arrow. The plan is for Barry Allen’s character to appear in three episodes of Arrow before The Flash series spins off on its own.  Here is the character description from a press release: “Barry Allen (Gustin) is a Central City assistant police forensic investigator who arrives in Starling to look into a series of unexplained robberies that may have a connection to a tragedy in his past. A comic book fan boy, Barry is obsessed …

K-ON!!!! “Dust In The Wind” Fan Fiction. Part 11.

By now, you know what Nao looks like, but what about the woman she’s marrying? In this screen capture from the Anime, Maki is on the left and Ritsu on the right. This takes place in high school, so it could be a memory photo?!

Last time on K-ON!!!! “Dust in the Wind,” the girls each had their own time on stage as things seemed to be good for some and bad for others. Now, like a soap opera, the wedding episode of Nao and Maki…!

Cosplay Experience with Audra

Cosplay Experience with Audra

NS –  How long have you been cosplaying?

Audra – In the truest meaning of term, I’ve been cosplaying since I was a child when I used to change clothes 6 times a day for every time my persona would change, much to the dismay of my sister (lol).  More recently after the term itself became popularized, it was probably after 2000 that I started focusing on cosplay more seriously.

NS – What was your first cosplay costume?

Audra – It would have to be for Burning Man 1997.  Given the scenery (desert, bright sun, apocalyptic vibe), I felt most comfortable

K-ON!!!! “Dust In The Wind” Fan Fiction. Part 10.

K-ON!!!! “Dust In The Wind” Fan Fiction. Part 10.

Very official and from the original Manga Magazine, it’s K-ON!  Featuring on top: Tsumugi, Yui and Mio, bottom: Ritsu and Azusa–I love the original artwork by Kakifly.

Last time, Nao and Mio rebuilt Elizabeth, Mio’s old left-handed Bass; the cost was Mio stepping outside of her apartment for only one minute; she made it for the duration, but not as well as she could have. Ritsu brought her old friend Maki over to meet Nao—all to a very promising conclusion.

Now, all of the groups of characters get their own scene on stage in this…

DC Comic Adaptations on the Horizon

20120120 dc entertainment 1 DC Comic Adaptations on the Horizon

Not too long ago, there was a financial analyst who came out with a report that comic to film adaptations were basically a bad investment. This was, of course, before the Avengers film came out.  But Marvel isn’t the only one finding success in bringing comic books to life. The Walking Dead TV series is arguably one of the best shows on today. Then there’s the big surprise that Arrow was picked up for another season. While Dredd didn’t do so well in the theaters, if you haven’t seen it already, I urge you to check it out.  It’s no fluke …

K-ON!!!! “Dust In The Wind” Fan Fiction. Part 9.

How perfect, the “Precious Memories” card game package featuring Mio Akiyama playing her Bass, Elizabeth. Fitting to the story in every way…

Last time on K-ON!!!! “Dust in the Wind” Old friends gathered and gave forgiveness and the night was finished with Jun performing a mentally painful task to pleasure Azusa—she then looked back on her old mementos of her relationship with a man named Koyomi.
Now, Mio and Nao form a bond as Nao tries to get Mio to step outside for the first time in years—also, Ritsu brings over an old friend, although, there is a hidden agenda…

Comic Book Review: Superior Spider-Man Run, Goblin, Run!

Comic Book Review: Superior Spider-Man Run, Goblin, Run!

Superior Spider Man 14 interior art Comic Book Review: Superior Spider Man Run, Goblin, Run!

Back when Superior Spider-Man launched I was against the whole idea as much as the next guy, and after reading the first trade of the comic I pretty much gave up on the whole Superior Spider-Man thing and only kept on buying Scarlet Spider on a monthly basis as it was the last good Spider related book left. But recently I started hearing some surprisingly good things about Superior Spider-Man and I found out that a lot of the people who hated the idea at first are now really enjoying the series. So I decided to check out the latest arc …

K-ON!!!! “Dust In The Wind” Fan Fiction. Part 8.

Jun and Azusa…In this screen capture from late in the second season of the Anime, the girls are in a convenience store picking up supplies for the café that their class is doing for the school festival. In this “photo” the girls are 17…who knew that years later their friendship would come to this…

WARNING! The second half of the story has a very graphic situation, reader discretion is advised!

K-ON!!!! “Dust In The Wind” Fan Fiction. Part 7.

Yui and Ritsu were the best of friends in High School. Their matching laziness and possible stupidity got them through the boredom of everyday life. Maybe this old photographic memory will rekindle that old friendship that was lost…

Keion!!!! (K-ON!!!!) “Dust In The Wind” Part 7

Last time “The Wakaba Girls” recorded their album and took many photos for their once in a lifetime photo book. Now that they have succeeded in readying for a professional coming out, they are going out to celebrate.
Also, a pair of old friends find each other again!

“Besides, the time still passes by even

Comic Book Review: Infinity #1

Comic Book Review: Infinity #1

Infinity Vol 1 11 Comic Book Review: Infinity #1

Do you guys remember what I said about reviewing single issues in my Uncanny review a while back? Yea well screw that policy because this is an issue that I need to talk about and review for you guys because it’s really something special. I have to say, despite my love for what Hickman’s been doing in Avengers and especially New Avengers, Infinity wasn’t something I was really interested in. It just seemed like another one of “those” events where they hype it up as something that’ll change the Marvel universe until the next status quo changing event comes a year …
