Robber Tries to Carjack Wrong Victim: Taps Out with UFC Fighter

What I wouldn’t give to see this bout on pay per view. On the Southwest side of Chicago around 11:30pm Friday night, 24 year old Anthony Miranda was beat and shot with his own gun by a UFC fighter during an attempted robbery/carjacking.  The 33 year old victim, who wishes to remain anonymous, said that he was sitting in his car when the assailant approached him and asked for a light.  When he said he didn’t have one, Miranda pulled out a gun and said to give him all his belongings.  The UFC fighter turned over his valuables and then Miranda made the mother of all mistakes: he ordered the man out of his car. Wrong move.  Not only did Miranda get schooled by the MMA fighter, but he also got shot in the ankle when his gun went off during the scuffle.

While the victim reportedly held Miranda down until police arrived, I imagine he didn’t have to use any complicated holds by the looks of this guy. And these pictures were taken after he got cleaned up!  A parolee released from prison in March of 2010 after a 6 year stint for home burglaries, Miranda is now being held on $350,000. bail.  I guess we know what he’ll be doing when he goes back to the pen…
