Vintage Toy Of The Week: Rambo

Vintage Toy Of The Week: Rambo

This week’s vintage toy goes to Rambo.  The figure is based on the 1986 cartoon show, Rambo and the Forces of Freedom. Unlike Chuck Norris’ cartoon show which only had 5 episodes, Rambo had 65 episodes.  Rambo battled against neo nazis.  That’s right, neo nazis for a kids show.

Toys back in the 80′s were pretty damn violent. That’s what I love about the era. Our hero John Rambo comes with a rocket launcher so he can blow shit up.  He also comes with a sleeveless hoodie with a bald eagle on the front of it.  Michael Bay would be proud.

I like this figure because it actually resembles Stallone and doesn’t hold back on political correctness.  That’s what the 80′s was all about.

Nice, I had this one. I still have Col. Troutman (don’t think I spelled that right???) And I have classic shirtless Rambo. Fun!

I want the original naked Rambo.
