Complete PS4 Gameplay & Video Compilation

Complete PS4 Gameplay & Video Compilation

Sony made their announcement yesterday for the PS4.  No price and release date has been set in stone yet.

The announcement showed gameplay footage.  Some were cutscenes while others were real gameplay.

Overall, the graphics are nice but not overwhelming.  Not as drastic from PS2 to PS3.  I like the variety of game they showed ranging from the cute and funny to a Bourne-esque gameplay.

Destiny
From Bungie comes a cross between FPS and MMORPG.  This one will be either really great or crap because of unbalanced gameplay.

Deep Down
Medieval game from Capcom.  All cutscenes so it’s a meh.

DVD Review: Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad Volume 1 (TV Series)

DVD Review: Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad Volume 1 (TV Series)

The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers has a long legacy and is extremely popular. Many pretenders to the Rangers throne were born in the 90s. They are slowly being released on DVD (though sadly, not Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight as of yet). VR Troopers and Big Bad Beetleborgs (which I still find creepy to this very day because of the vampire pedophile dude with the Jay Leno chin)are both available on DVD. Can the awful Masked Rider be far behind? Masked Rider featured a multi-racial family of non-actors and some of the cheapest fight scenes ever pulled from the vault. Superhuman Samurai …

Comic Book Review: Batman Death of the Family

Comic Book Review: Batman Death of the Family

Since the New 52 started back in September of 2011, one writer has gone above and beyond with his work, and that man is Scott Snyder. While he’s made a name for himself with his horror indie book Severed, his work at Vertigo/DC with Swamp Thing and American Vampire, all of which have garnered critical acclaim and fan acclaim and earning him several awards. His Batman work is what I truly love him for and Death of the Family is no different in that respect.

Please note that this is a review of the core storyline that went from Batman #13 …

Blu-Ray Review: Frankenweenie 3D

frankenweenie1 Blu Ray Review: Frankenweenie 3D

Tim Burton’s latest flick is a fun and heartwarming surprise.

Much better than his latest live action movies, Alice In Wonderland & Dark Shadows, the stop motion Frankenweenie has a lot of good things going for it.

Main character Victor Frankenstein is a genius outcast.  He doesn’t have any friends besides his dog, Sparky.  As Victor is playing with Sparky in a seemingly good day, the dog gets accidentally run over and killed.  Victor uses his smart to revive his best friend just like in Mary Shelley’s classic tale.  Neighborhood  bullies get in on the act and accidentally revive all of …

J.J. Abrams Directing Star Wars Episode 7 After All?!

jj abrams star J.J. Abrams Directing Star Wars Episode 7 After All?!

The end of the world is nigh! For J.J. Abrams the man who is famous for rebooting Star Trek is now doing Star Wars as well if what the report that came from The Wrap is to be believed, Abrams was a fan favorite pick ever since the film itself was announced but back in November he explicitly stated that he would NOT direct the next Star Wars film, fearing that it could cause major issues with his current partnership with Paramount.

I’ve never been much of a ST fan myself but I will admit the reboot in 2009 was very …

Publishers Killing Game Journalism

ea hellgate logo Publishers Killing Game Journalism

Hello everyone your resident certifiably insane angry gamer returns to share with you a rather serious issue that’s been creeping up in the gaming industry lately, the new practice of publishers that is slowly but surely killing gaming news sites such as IGN, GameTrailers, GameSpot,…..

Comic Book Review: Superior Spider-Man #1 (Spoilers)

Comic Book Review: Superior Spider-Man #1 (Spoilers)

Well my friends the day has come, the first issue of Dan Slott’s Superior Spider-Man is out, a book that has since its announcement earned the hate of many comic book fans and after reading it… The hate has been pretty much justified.

First of all I don’t necessarily hate the idea of Doc Ock becoming Spider-Man, if done well (which its not) could be an interesting arc for the character, but two things bug me about the premise itself, firstly Marvel has a piss poor track record when it comes to deaths and/or changing the status quo of a character.…

Comic Book Review: All-New X-Men, Vol. 1: Here Comes Yesterday

Comic Book Review: All-New X-Men, Vol. 1: Here Comes Yesterday

Brian Michael Bendis is a man who in my eyes will have a mixed legacy in the comic book industry, while his Ultimate Spider-Man and Daredevil work has been some of the best we will ever see, his Avengers work left much to be desired and was just painfully mediocre throughout, does All-New X-Men fall in with the former or the later? Let’s find out.

This book was and still is quite controversial with die hard Marvel fans who argue that it is impossible to bring in the original five X-Men from the 60s into present time and not just destroy …
