Hello everyone! Your resident negative nancy/angry bastard is back to give you further incite into the worst that gaming has to offer, specifically what it had to offer for this year.

Now in my personal opinion this year has been a colossal disappointment and has made me extremely nervous for the video game industry going forward, sure it wasn’t all bad and I do intend to write a Best Gaming Trends in 2012 very soon, but that is an article for another day.

With the release of Halo 4 and Black Ops 2, you’d think that would be it for gaming in 2012, you’d be wrong because then you would miss out on, not only the best shooter of the year, but one of the years best games period!

Far Cry 3 is the perfect way to end 2012 with a bang, it delivers on all of its promises and then some, despite some mediocre multiplayer bringing it down, it is worth every penny of its 60 dollar price.

Coming to DVD November 13, 2012 is Astonishing X-Men: Unstoppable, a motion comic by Joss Whedon and John Cassaday. For those who don’t know, a motion comic is somewhat like a carton, but has only limited animation if any at all. Astonishing X-Men: Unstoppable has been taken from paper and print, to video with the addition of music and of course voice acting.

According to Latino-Review, Guillermo del Toro has been signed on to direct a DC film called Heaven Sent that will star many of the companies magic based characters, the current roster is as follows: Deadman, Zatanna, Zatara, The Spectre, Swamp Thing, Constantine Hellblazer, Phantom Stranger, Sargon and finally Entrigan the Demon.

Del Toro is certainly has the experience and creative vision to pull of a film, his Hellboy films are proof of this and those are certainly a good foundation for how to make Heaven Sent a success since these films share MANY similarities to each other at this stage.
