I was not excited for Dredd, in fact before going to see it I was mentally preparing myself for another genericsci-fi/action movie with a comic book character slapped onto it and boy was I wrong! Dredd 3-D is easily one of the best films I have seen this year and you would be doing yourself a dis service by not seeing it!

Thanks to the succes of the recently released Leviathan DLC which further expanded upon the Reaper history, in a recent IGN article, Casey Hudson the man himself who has been spear heading the Mass Effect universe recently mentioned a Omega DLC.

A sad day for us guys (AKA me) that wanted too see an even longer version of TDKR, Nolan has confirmed that there will NOT be such a version of the film either this December or right before Man of Steel.

While this is isn’t a shock for some, it leaves in question as to what is going to happen with the Bane origin that was reportedly cut out of the film, will it be a deleted scene? Doubtful too since Nolan isn’t big on deleted scenes either, so we may never see Bane’s true origin….…

Yes I’m back for another review and this time its off the first volume of Winter Soldier by Ed Brubaker and Butch Guice.  Now Brubaker is single handedly the man that made me love Captain America.  His work on the character has been interesting but none of it would be possible if not for Bucky Barnes AKA Winter Soldier AKA my new favorite Marvel character.

As some of you know from my short lived weekly comic review articles, I was not a fan of the Spider-Man books at the time and for the most part im still not!

The fine people at Shout have given us (finally) the first in a series of DVDs set for the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The series was a huge smash with kids and developed a cult audience with older viewers. The acting and effects are nothing special (to be kind), but the series is a high-energy blast of cheesy fun for fans and newcomers alike. This original Power Rangers was the best incarnation of the series and this 3 DVD set continues the first 30 episodes of season one of the series.

The Expendables 2 gets the job done. A big, loud, and dumb action film that should please anyone who grew up in the 1980s, it’s also less self-serious and funnier than the first movie. The Expendables 2 also benefits from the swift pacing and upgraded action sequences provided by new director Simon West. The movie won’t win any awards, but it’s a violent good time with a cast of monotone right-wing macho men. The key to the film’s success though lies in the ability for these old action dudes to be in on the joke.
