Daria Early Review: Daria: The Complete Animated Series (MTV)

Our long national nightmare is over! Daria has been released on DVD. The instantly addictive, smart, and funny series was broadcast on MTV back in 1997 and ran for five glorious seasons. It also spawned two terrific longer movies, “Is It Fall Yet” and “Is It College Yet”. The latter was used to close out the series and is basically the final episode. The character of Daria Morganendorffer was introduced during Beavis and Butthead as a smart, sardonic foil to America’s favorite metalhead morons. Daria quickly established itself as a much better show than Beavis and Butthead and this DVD set …

Halo Reach Beta Halo: Reach Beta Impressions

So, is that Halo 3: ODST purchase finally paying off?  It’s been a long time coming, but my copy of ODST is now doing exactly what I purchased it for: Halo: Reach Beta access.

Picture 014 300x225 Halo: Reach Beta ImpressionsIn this neighborhood, blue armor will get you killed

I’m sure that those who haven’t yet played the game are wondering what it plays like.  Is it like Halo 3, 2, or 1?  Well, it seems to me to be more like the first two, but it seems like the weapon balance is better than previous games.  I never felt like I was killing or being killed …

Battlefield:Bad Company 2 Review

snc002691 Battlefield:Bad Company 2 Review
This is a review for the Xbox 360 version of the game.

I originally didn’t want to include the Single-player section of this game as that part is really not the reason one would buy Battlefield, but I went through it to make this review more complete. That being said, let’s get the “worst” out of the way first:

Bad Company 2 300x168 Battlefield:Bad Company 2 Review
Hey, man, I think they’re taking pictures for the Single-player portion of the game!

SINGLE-PLAYER

It takes about 5 1/2 to 6 hours to complete, and all the while, you’ll really just be itching to play online with everyone else. At best, …

Super SFIV Fight Club Party Ends with a Double KO

Super SFIV Fight Club Party Ends with a Double KO

Capcom knows how to party. With a huge studio filled with SSF IV kiosks, contests, giveaways, legendary Street Fighter players, pizza, drinks and cosplayers, thousands of fans gathered to a studio in the middle of a Glendale neighborhood where you had to park on the curb of a residential neighborhood, just like going to a house party.

There was a photo booth where you can be digitally inserted into a Street Fighter 4 background and a booth where you can get your makeup done…no, not to look pretty, but to get some cool scars.

mike bay 6 Cool Scenes From Michael Bay

Director Michael Bay might not be winning any awards soon but it’s guaranteed that his movies will have epic moments.  Even his worst movie, ” Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen” had a kick ass fight between Optimus and the Decepticons.  Many moviegoers despise Bay, but I like the way he makes the scenes so heroic.  Below are the top 6 scenes from Michael Bay:

1Sht LSR Movie Review: The Losers Turn Out to be Winners

After finding out that Silvain White was directing the Losers, the only thing that popped into my mind was Chris Evans, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Zoe Saldana stomping the yard. As you can tell, Stomp the Yard and its ridiculous title made my eyes roll, only second to You Got Served (I did like the dance sequences). But my negative thoughts quickly disappeared and I was enjoying the movie.

Our Losers, Jensen (Chris Evans, playing a dorky but funny tech), Pooch (Columbus Short, he’s the weapons guy with a baby coming), Roque (Idris

Happy 420 everyone, I though it would be fun to list some of my favorite stoner movies of all time. What makes a good stoner movie? First of all, there has to be pot.  Then there needs be some sort of story, and above all it’s got to be funny while high. The finale and most important rule can be a deal breaker when judging a stoner movie. For instance Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle; funny movie. Watching Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle high; surprisingly not that funny.

Here are some honorable mentions that didn’t make …
