Before there was the Power Rangers, or any other Japanese-inspired, live-action, superhero television show on for that matter, two series aired in Hawai’i and briefly in various cities around the continental U.S. called  Kikaider and Kamen Rider V3.

Easy A is an amusing, teen comedy spin on The Scarlett Letter. The movie takes its inspiration from the classic (but hard to read or enjoy) novel. Easy A is very much in the vain of Clueless or 10 Things I Hate About You, but its script isn’t as clever as either of those two films. It’s more mildly amusing than laugh out loud funny. I just got word from Spike that the tv show, Deadliest Warrior will be made into a movie by Paramount.  The story hasn’t been revealed yet but there’s one thing certain, this will be bloody!  Here’s the official release from Spike:

Resident Evil: Afterlife is loud, inane, often dumb, in other words, a near perfect addition to the Resident Evil franchise. I have great affection for the first two Resident Evil flicks, while the 3rd one was somewhat lacking. It was basically a Mad Max clone that wasn’t bad, but only rousing from time to time. Original director and slick hack Paul W.S Anderson is back in the director’s chair and he brings with him a bag of 3D tricks and some kick-ass action scenes. Turn your brain off and enjoy the ride.
