A lot of people have been giving EA a hard time because they feel EA is taking over other game companies like a dictatorship. They feel as if EA is turning in a quick buck (quantity over quality). They may be right, but I’m glad that EA is taking a chance with new properties like Mirror’s Edge. It’s a nice change of pace from all the sequels coming out like Fallout 3, Resistance 2, Gears of War 2, Prince of Persia, Fable II, and Tomb Raider: Underworld.

I’m really enjoying the new reboot of the James Bond franchise.  I was never a huge Bond fan.  Most of the films were bland and repetitive.  Sean Connery was clearly the best Bond.  He was suave and just a lot of fun.  After the initial excellent Bond films I really lost interest in the series.  Pierce Brosnan (not a bad actor) did what was required of the role, but nothing more.  Goldeneye was a rousing start with the lovely Famke Jansen (crushing men between her thighs….what’s not to love), but his series of films quickly grew as rotten as Halle Berry’s …

Tinker Bell came into my childhood when I first watched Disney’s Peter Pan. I wasn’t a fan of her because she acted like a little brat. In the cartoon, she has a thing for Peter and would get mad when Peter and Wendy were together. I was later introduced to Tink again in the live action movie “Hook.” In this version, she has the same feisty personality and was played by Julia Roberts. McFarlane has launched its newest Halo 3 line: Legendary Collection. Previous Halo 3 figures from Mcfarlane were well articulated, about 5 inches and ranged from $10 -$15. The previous lines were too small for me, so I waited for the Legendary line. The Legendary figures are bigger, limited articulation, and of course, the dynamic pose. After languishing on the shelf since 2005, the straight-to-DVD Confessions Of A Pit Fighter is easily one of the worst films of the year. Simply, the film is just awful. A cast of real-life fighters (including former MMA champ Quinton Rampage  Jackson) and a few professional actors (who should have known better) make up the cast of this dreadful film. The perpetually sneering Armand Assante sneers and walks through his clichéd villain role half asleep (and sneering). The supposed PS3 system seller that was well received by the critics.  It’s gotten a 95 at metacritic.  When it was revealed last year at E3, all eyes were on this little game.  You play as a sack boy in a 3d side scrolling game that lets you play online with other players.  Certain levels of the game can’t be accomplished without teamwork from your friends.
