I decided to write a blog about colognes tonight………………..because I’m metro (pops the collar!) and smelling good never goes out of style, even for us fanboys.  Colognes have gotten a bad rap for years, and with good reason.  A lot of them smell like ass.  I’ve been using cologne for a while now though, and there are several amazing ones.  I picked only top designer colognes.  I have chosen the five best colognes on the market, and a few of the worst.

Almost 2 years later and Michael Bay graces us with another Transformers movie. Over at Empire, they have new pics up of Soundwave and Bumblebee in toy form. Bumblebee is still a Camaro but with upgrades. But we don’t really care about that now do we?…

Helio Gracie, the man who invented Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (bjj), died today in Brazil. He was 95 years old.  With bjj, he made vale tudo (MMA with no gloves) popular in Brazil.  Today, it’s a widely known sport in the country.  His son, Rorion, is credited for establishing UFC (how I became an MMA fan).  His other son, Royce, became a champion in the UFC.  Without Helio, there’d be no BJ Penn, Fedor or Anderson Silva.  It’s a sad day in the MMA world.  He was a legend in the sport and we’ll miss him.…

I was bored this past weekend, so I decided to go out on photo trip. I took my 35mm SLR film camera and loaded it with a BW Tmax100 roll. I headed down South and visited the San Juan Capistrano Mission. I thought it would be suiting to take pictures in BW since that place is ancient. Also, I read online that one can “push” his or her film to suit the lighting conditions.

I used a tripod with this shot, the composition isn’t there, and it’s crooked.

Capcom’s Resident Evil 5 puts you in control of Chris Redfield who’s on a mission in Africa on an investigation to stop bioterrorism. He is accompanied by Sheva, his new hot partner who knows the terrains of Africa. Today, Xbox 360 owners get a chance to test out the Resident Evil 5 demo while the PS3 owners have to wait. I have to admit, after playing the demo, I’m not really excited about the game.

Another week goes by and another very good episode of Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight.  We get some more backstory and another very cool fight or two.  There’s a lot of backstory backed into the 22 minutes and we learn more about the Kamen Riders.  There are 12 Kamen Riders and when one is defeated they wind up in the “Advent Void”, which sounds like a kind of limbo that you can never escape from.

The main event: Fedor vs. Arlovski

Affliction: Day of Reckoning, was a pretty exciting event. Mongoose and I bought nosebleed seats for $50 a pop.  We arrive at the Honda Center at around 4:00 pm. John Spartan called us and told us that he’s also coming down, we told him to buy the $50 ticket and we’d meet up inside.  Going in, I was excited and nervous because I knew  that Andrei Arlovski had a good chance of knocking out Fedor.…

 

On the heels of the popular Ultimate Avengers animated features comes HULK VS.  A straight to DVD animated smackdown involving HULK in two separate features.  The two features are Hulk VS Wolverine and Hulk VS Thor.  Both have their strong points, but Hulk VS Wolverine is better because its sheer bloody action and violence.  This is the Wolverine fans have been longing to see from the comics brought to life.  The 36 minute feature is perfectly paced and stunning in the amount of blood and gore.  It’s similar to more adult anime features.  The second feature, Hulk VS Thor is more …
