With the release of Toy Story 3 this weekend, NERDSociety.com chatted with voice actor John Ratzenberger, who plays the grouchy Hamm and producer Darla K. Anderson. Wii-exclusive title, Epic Mickey was shown late last year, and to be honest, graphically it didn’t impress me at all.  However, the game has had some time to improve, and as you’ll see in the videos, it looks great now.  The game captures the feel of the Disney cartoons very well, with both the physical worlds, and the animations of the caracters.

The basic gameplay is that of a platformer, with double jumping, and a spin attack.  How Epic Mickey becomes more interesting is that he uses paint thinner to erase parts of levels to open new areas, or to attack …

So, now that I have your attention, the name of this game is Vanquish, and it will be available for PS3 and 360, possibly this fall.  The man behind the game is Shinji Mikami.

The game is essentially Gears of War, but with a faster pace, from what I’ve seen so far.  However, that’s not to say that it should be skipped over as a wannabe Gears, but instead should be considered a great alternative to Gears.

I’ve seen previews in magazines, and screenshots, and I’ve only thought of Rage as a Fallout 3 clone.  Well, thankfully my preconceptions have been proved wrong, as I was lucky enough to enter Bethesda’s appointment-only booth.

From what I’ve seen, there are similarities between Rage and Fallout 3, as they both have an expansive desert over-world.  In Rage, you will enter towns that are full of NPCs with which to interact, and sometimes play mini-games.  We were told that towns may even change the NPCs, quests, and mini-games that are available, as opposed to Fallout 3’s town areas which mostly stayed …

Paladin here, I got to make many rounds throughout the convention room in an attempt to get either pictures, find the best price on a toy or find something, anything that may be of interest.

The stars I remember best from a distance were Lisa Marie Varon who played Victoria the wrestler in WWE. She was smiling and it wasn’t some made up grin it was genuine and that is memorable.
Virgina Hey was right next to Vernon Wells and she looked to be pretty cool.

James Marsters put on an entertaining and fun question and answer session at Wizard World in Philadelphia. Me and Paladin attended the Q and A and had a blast. Marsters was full of energy and answered questions thoughtfully and humorously. He seems like a great guy who truly appreciates his many fans. Marsters shot to fame as the bad boy vampire Spike, on the hit television series Buffy: The Vampire Slayer. Then he appeared on Smallville as the evil super computer known as Brianiac.
