Ever since its release in 2008, Assassin’s Creed has gotten a lot of fans with the release of two games.  In the game, you’re an assassin killing high profile people such as a politicians and generals.  The first game was set during the 3rd Crusade while the sequel took place during the Renaissance Era.  Players enjoyed the different varieties you can kill someone, from being sneaky to going all out and taking out the guards as well.

Just when I was bummed that Target and Best Buy had mediocre deals for Black Friday, Wal-Mart’s ad was leaked earlier today and I’m excited about it.  They have the best deals so far, with more than 60 Blu-Ray titles for $5 and 30 more at $10.  The $5 Blu-Ray prices are insane because their DVD counterparts is also the same price. With prices like these, it becomes more about greed.  I’ll probably buy Batman Begins for $5 but how many times am I going to watch it?  Probably once every 2 years …

Activision has announced, COD: Black Ops has sold 5.6 million units in the U.S. and U.K in the first 24 hours of its release.  The sales combined for a total of $360 million, compared to last year’s COD: MW 2 of $310 million.  The game is getting mixed reviews from gamers.  Some people are complaining about the respawn points, while others like the Vietnam-era weapons and tougher killstreaks.  This game is a success no matter how you look at it but I don’t think it will surpass the total sales of MW 2.  The word of mouth for the game isn’t …

COD: Black Ops is one of the biggest game of the year and Gamestop was holding a midnight event.  We stopped by a store nearby and checked out the line.  When we got there, people were just standing around the three kiosks showcasing the game.  Everyone was laid back, but when the manager told everyone to form 2 separate lines (this can be seen in the video), one for the PS3 & WII and the other for Xbox 360 & PC, the crowd got quiet as they formed the line.  Damn lines makes everybody tense!  After 20 minutes, they let the …

It seems like EA is in a lot of trouble this year, there was the NBA game that was cancelled.  Now, there venture into MMA territory has failed miserably.  The game features the best fighters outside the UFC (besides Randy Couture) including Fedor Emelianenko, Nick Diaz and legendary Japanese MMA fighters such as Sakuraba and Hidehiko Yoshida.  The game sold close to 77,000 copies the first week of release compared to 600,000 for UFC 2010.  Ouch!

If this was compared to a fight, this would be Penn (UFC) vs Stevenson (EA MMA).  In that fight, Stevenson was outclassed and outmatched …
